Together we host OPEN STUDIOS and group exhibitions - usually opening up our studio spaces in April and September and at Christmas with other invited makers and artisans

With a purpose built workshop here on site at Halecat, Edward is a furniture maker, timber frame constructor and antique restorer. Mountain Oak Woodcraft

Nestled in the foothills of the Lake District and the largest area of ancient woodland in Cumbria - Jack has a purpose built barn known as 'The Cruck' on site here at Halecat where his sustainable woodcraft draws its inspiration from the enduring strength and curve of the forest The craft used by Mountain Oak Woodcraft crosses generations and draws on historic cleaving and hewing techniques in traditional timber frame building and green woodworking. Established in 2020 and with a purpose built workshop built within the woodyard here on site in 2021 Jonathan Beeby is the architect and designer-maker and founder of Shape Furniture Ltd. Every process of creation - from the initial sketch to the completed design, sourcing and processing of timber to built product - is done in house.
